Okay, so we just asked about the name Evanglina Lizette. I still love the name, but my mother just suggested Elisabetta Fortunatta, after my grandmother. Our three other daughters are Allegra Vienne, Maria Noel, and Seraphina Rose. We are from Italy and my husband and I are Bianca and Antonio Di Zia. We need a name that flows with all our names. We live in the United States too, but we don't care if it is uncommon here. Our heritage is important to us and all our family is still in Italy. Also, I'm due any day now so I need help fast!

I live in Vancouver and it has been so much fun here! There are a tonne of free things day and night. I've been able to meet people from all over the world.

I can't remember much about this film and it's making me crazy. I remember certain images: a young woman found drowned face-down in a harbor, followed by a festival in which a white statue of the virgin is carried from under the water by men. It takes place in some little village in either Italy or Spain or something, I feel like the protagonist is woman, a visitor to the area for a summer. 1. As a United States Citizen who lives in Virginia, what if I was vacationing in Italy, and while there I had to go to the hospital. Maybe my insurance doesn't cover overseas medical costs, so I have to pay out of pocket. I give them whatever information they need and agree to whatever payment schedule we come up with, but then go back to the United States as planned and don't pay them.

2. I rear end a guy while driving in Australia and am like, "Oh yeah, I'll pay for it." Then give him false information and go back to the US, and he never hears from me again.

In situations like those, can you be held civilly accountable? If so, how? If I'm not mistaken, even if they sue you, courts in other countries have no jurisdiction in the US.

Hi there, I hope someone can help me, I met a fantastic guy about a year ago and we have been hopelessy in love ever since. Im 40 years old and have never in my life felt so loved, respected and happy. The guy involved is Italian and has two children that moved to Italy with his ex some 6 months ago. He has been visiting every month or so, but not as often as he liked due to work / money problems. We had an argument a few weeks ago and booked a one way flight back to Italy telling me that I was the only thing that had kept him here. We made up before he left and he told me that he would be back as soon as he could sort out his finances (a month or so) He rang me every day for the first week or so and he was seriosuly unhappy as the ex had not been coping to good with his boys, and he was worried about leaving them again, on Monday he rang me and basically told me that although I am the love of his life he cannot come back as the kids need him too much, I am devasted

I wouldn't follow Kc idea to become a stalker. How do you feel about moving over there? He sounds honest enough, I doubt he could bring the children out of the country if the mother still lives there, and so I don't think he is just feeding you a line, so you have to decide what is more important, him, or the rest of your life? Family, friends etc... Then if you think you could make the move, contact him and suggest it.

If not, or if he doesn't come across as overjoyed by the suggestion, then I'm sorry, but you just have the long hard road to getting over it to walk down, and there is no real advice, other than you're not the only person making that walk, but we all get by in the end.

Driving Italian Car in Switzerland?

I have just moved to Switzerland (March) and I have an Italian car. My insurance runs out in 2 weeks. I cannot get Swiss insurance unless I have Swiss plates (right?) but I plan to sell my car after the summer in Italy.

Can I renew my Italian insurance and drive on that seeing as I still have a 9 months to change my plates on the car into Swiss ones?

By saying "an Italian car" you mean a car with Italian number plates, right?

You're correct, you can get Swiss insurance together with Swiss number plates only. If you have taken Swiss residency, your car is considered part of your household, you therefore wouldn't have to pay customs duty in case you would like to register it here. The process is however somewhat tricky.

As for the question if you can renew your Italian insurance, I suggest to ask your Italian insurance company. My guess is that this wouldn't be possible if you have Swiss residency.

I would want to teach myself because my school doesnt have it in a time that fits in my schedule next year. This year I took 4th year spanish and 1st year Italian, but there is no class to buil on with the italian because it was an experimental class this year. I am going to continue learning spanish, and I am debating over learning french or building off of the italian ive already learned because i want to learn another language and its just kind of a hobby of mine. I like italian but it doesnt seem practical to use unless I want to go to Italy, which I dont exactly want to do for an extended period of time if at all, and I have freinds that speak french but it sounds interesting. Is there any use to learn French or should I just continue italian? Thanks.

NYC Midtown cheap diners and grocery stores?

We'll be in NYC this weekend, 4/19-4/21/08. Staying at Double Tree Suites in Times Sq.

Looking for cheap diners for breakfast in midtown on Sunday morning.

And then someplace somewhere along way down to Staten Island Ferry subway stop for Monday early morning. Also looking for normal (not swanky, that is) grocery stores where we can buy some fruit and other snack items.

And inexpensive but decent traditional Italian restaurant (in Little Italy or elsewhere) for lunch or dinner.

Yes, they are probably getting it confused with Venice. "Vienna" isn't even technically the name of said Austrian city. Austrians say "Vien" (pronounced "veen"). Vienna is how English speakers say it (much like Espana vs. Spain...same country, different ways to say it). I think the English way of saying "Vienna" sounds more Italian than its true name which only adds to the confusion.

My friend from Italy came to North Carolina to visit and spend time with his family.

We know some people from across seas that got there driver license for 3 months, or the amount of time he was gonna stay here

I was trying to look it up on the North Carlina DMV site for what all information do my friend need to get his for the amount of time he is visiting. (he has a license in Italy)

Hello, my name is Matthew Higgs, I'm 13 and I live in the United Kingdom. I was looking around the internet for some new clothes and I came upon an 'Emporio Armani Zip Up Hoodie #33', in the description it says "This white Armani Jeans Zip Up Hoodie was fashioned in Italy in 100%-cotton."

In my opinion this is the best looking hoodie around, however, I would have to ship it all the way from Milan, Italy and it will cost me $126.65US/83.3787GBP. I understand Emporio Armani is not cheap but I was just wondering if I could get a real, authentic one any cheaper anywhere else? If not where could I get a realistic knock off version?

Buddy, Dolce Fugo is a website selling FAKE designer clothing. They arent even based in Milan like they say. My friend bought off their website and the charge to his credit card originated from somewhere in Canada. If you look at some of their clothes you'll notice they all have the same brown shades as each other and look roughly similar. That and you will never find an Emporio Armani hoodie for $126. I dont think Emporio have ever even released a hoodie - they're too ugly and white-trash style. And the fact that the clothes are covered in 'ARMANI' is also a dead giveaway. No authentic Armani has his name splashed all over it. Armani is a subtle designer where the god is in the details. Amy makes me so upset. She is constantly whining about "missing out" and wouldn't even think twice about leaving her precious little boy for a MONTH while going off to Italy. And the only reason she cooked and cleaned for her mom (she can't even cook!) was to butter her mom up. Her attitude pretty much seems to be "I love him but don't want him right now". I just can't figure out what her problem is. And before you say "she's only 16", guess what? I'm 17 and the proud mommy of a gorgeous baby girl. I was 16 when I got preggo with my dd and 17 when I had her and the moment I met her she became my whole world. It's true that I don't have the freedom I did before becoming a mom - but that's what being a mom IS. As tough as being a single teen mom can be at times I can't imagine life without my daughter. And I could never go off leave her for a month - or even a week! Even when I go out with a friend for half an hour I'm anxious to get back home to her so I usually take her with me! I don't know what I'd do without my daughter and she is the reason I get up every morning. So to me Amy's being young is no excuse. And I realize that it's just a TV show and Amy is a fictional character - and I realize that the producers probably want to make being a teen mom look like a horrible thing so that girls watching the show won't go out and get pregnant. But characters like that ruin it for those of us teen moms who are GOOD moms that love our kids because someone who watches the show and has never personally known a teen mom will think all of us are like Amy and form their opinion based on that. That probably shouldn't bug me - but it does. I love the other characters on Secret Life but being a young mom myself Amy just makes me upset. Is anyone else with me? Or is there anyone who understands or can explain why Amy acts how she does? Thanks.

This summer or possibly this winter, my wife and I are planning a trip to London and then possibly to France or Italy from there. We have ten days to two weeks in vacation, and a free place to stay while in London. I've seen that flights are around 860 per ticket. What I'm wondering is, how much spending money we would need for the whole trip and if 1,200 dollars was enough. If not, how much more would we need to be safe.

I think you will be lucky to get by on $1200 even in winter, you could possibly do it by going self catering and renting an apartment or gite, as they are often called in France.

Accommodation and travel is going to be the most expenditure unless you are going to be eating out every night. Typically an evening meal for two in France at an inexpensive place is going to cost around $60. A gite for 2 in winter perhaps $300 a week, double that in summer. A small hire car for a week maybe around $170, again more in the summer.

Buying food and wine from a supermarket and preparing your own meals you could probably do for $100 a week and eat quite well.

Other travel costs you can work out from a specialist website that provides costs for all transport options like the one below. But flights from say London to the South of France can be very reasonable perhaps even as cheap as say $75 per person return in winter.

So working that out for accommodation, flights, car hire and food you are talking circa $1000 for one week in winter. Then when you are in London and France you will need spending money for touristy things on top, so all getting a bit tight. But have a look at Carcassonne in France flying from Stansted, that would be a great holiday.

The city of Como is nice and fairly well-connected by train/bus to visit other places too. However, I personally prefer Bellagio as a place to stay. I wouldn't stay more than a week and while I was there, I would definitely go to Bergamo for a day.

You might consider Lago Orta rather than Lago Como it's very scenic and somewhat cheaper.

Another option is Lago Garda, because it's much easier to take day trips to places like Venice, Verona, or Mantova that are all worth seeing.

I have send of the usual form to Royal mail but the form was returned to me this morning saying that they needed proof of the cost of the items. I'm going to London, Paris, Italy, and the Swiss Alps with a good friend of mine. We plan to do all the major historical sights in these places (except Switzerland), and other fun things too. I'm really looking forward to the trip, I've been to Europe before, I know I won't be bored, and I love studying up on the stuff we'll see to better apreciate it later. He is really looking forward to it too, but he says he is too lazy to do ANY sort of research into the stuff we're seeing. I don't care if he studies museums and stuff, I just don't want him to go over there and be bored, and just be him following me around. He won't choose anything he wants to do, cause he dosn'e know (because he's never been and doesn't want to read). Any advice on fun things in these places besides the major historical sights that we are guarenteed to both enjoy?

Call the respective governments you're interested in applying with. One note of caution- I don't know about the countries you've listed, but in the U.S. we wouldn't allow anyone with multiple citizenships to guard our president, just in case their loyalties were split. For example, if you were guarding the Prime Minister of Canada, and for some reason Canada and Belgium declared war against eachother, they'd want to know where you stood.

But again, I don't know if Canada, Italy, or Belgium would actually have any problems with it. Try looking up the websites of the individual nations, and making your inquiries there. If nothing else, it's very educational to learn how three different countries would approach the same task.

Okay so my family might take a trip to europe this summer! And I have no idea how much to save! I know you wont know exactly how much to save but i just want you to estimate.

We will probably leave Florida next summer but plan it ahead so flight tickets will be cheaper. It think were gonna first go to paris for a week, then tuscany for a week, then london for a week, and we cant decide where else? So my questions are. . . . .

If you were going for 4 weeks, I estimate maybe $4000 per person from experience that you might need to save just to be safe. If you want to travel in high season, like July, you should book six or eight months in advance for hotels and flights. You'll also want to book about three months early for admission into special places like the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and The Last Supper in Milan. I highly recommend getting a good Guide Book (like the one by Rick Steves) that will tell you which sights require booking. I know that for Summer 2006 it's more or less impossible to get into The Last Supper at this point in time.

The best airport depends on what part of Italy you want to visit. If you want to explore Rome and Florence, fly into Rome. If you want to do Naples and the Amalfi Coast, fly into Naples. For Venice and Verona, it's cheapest to fly into Milan.

As someone who used to live in Italy, I suggest scheduling your holiday so that you have AT LEAST three full days in each major city you visit. July is busy and there are lots of tourists, so doing things takes more time. I suggest spending three days in Florence, two days in the Tuscan countryside, four days in Rome plus five days around the Amalfi Coast (Positano, Capri, Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, etc.). Traveling within the country is best done by train, unless you want to get "really" off-the-beaten-path in Tuscany. Check my personal travel site for my experiences in the Amalfi area.

The other poster gave you great information. Frommer's has a book called Italy for 95 dollars a day. I would recommend this book as well as Frommer's Italy. Rick Steves' Italy is a great book as well.

Budget wise 100-125 dollars a day per person is a good amount.

If you are planning to go to major cities, pick up Frommer's, Lonely Plant or Rick Steves' books on the major cities especially if you are going to spend a great deal of time in a particular city.

You will find a lot of information on budget hotels, inexpensive restaurants, saving tips, etc.

Which website i should choose to promote my bed & breakfast in the world?

I have a bed & breakfast in Naples (Italy), and most of my clients arrive from Italy. I'd like to know if there are free portals or sites where i can add my b&b references to get in touch with foreign people, as this was the main reason i've tried to start my activity.

Do you know any good site to refer or can you give me any advice?

How much money would I need for back packing through SE Asia and Europe?

Excluding flights.

I want to go to Bali (Indonesia), Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Cambodia.

In Europe I want to go around the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland and The Netherlands.

Then if I can I want to try get to Morocco.

Go to thailand first, have a sex change, then when u go to all the other places you can sell your new booty to keep you going for cash! I can't see it costing more than 5k for a flight to thailand and dodgy sex change, so its all good!
