I can't remember much about this film and it's making me crazy. I remember certain images: a young woman found drowned face-down in a harbor, followed by a festival in which a white statue of the virgin is carried from under the water by men. It takes place in some little village in either Italy or Spain or something, I feel like the protagonist is woman, a visitor to the area for a summer. This film might be from the 1960's or so, and in Italian or Spanish. Please, any ideas??
